My name is Anthony Cateaux and I have been working with iron for over eleven years.

My education is based in the Interior Design & Landscape Architecture fields. I have apprenticed in Ontario for five years with an Austrian Blacksmith/Artisan, who primarily produced handmade furniture. In addition to this I have worked abroad in Northern California focusing on architectural ironwork and detail.

I have traveled extensively through out my life from Asia to Ireland. As a result, my creativity has been influenced by a wide variety of styles and themes. These experiences have instilled a strong desire to create three dimensional pieces that are both ruled by form and function.

My objective and challenge is to hand work and manipulate the steel to give it form and texture, resulting in a piece that has a life and character of its own.

Preferred Styles include: Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Celtic/Gothic.

I am available to collaborate on commissioned works.

I welcome your support and hope to work with you in the near future.
